WICKED HEROES Reflections with dirt bike rider Eddie Holmqvist. 4 November, 2018 2018 was the first year for Wicked Family and also the first year to choose a few dirt bike riders to support. Eddie Holmqvist is one of them. It’s been great to follow Eddies racing through the Swedish Nationals during 2018. We asked him to tell us a bit about his season. What do you think about the season 2018? 2018 has had its good moments. I reached my goals of qualifying to all the races and to get some points. It was a great pleasure to be invited to race for the Kawasaki team. I love my Kawasaki and I’ve been really comfortable in the new Wicked MX gear. How do you prepare before you go to the starting gate? I think I am different from many other dirt bike riders. I don’t go for a run or start on a exercise bike. However I like to stretch, do a few push-ups and what’s more important is to listen to music to get me focused and pumped up. It gets me into a more aggressive mood and I feel ready to go out racing. How do you train to be one of the top dirt bike riders in Sweden? Many people say I am unique. I don’t spend a lot of time running or bicycling. I go to the gym instead, to lift weights and do circle training, but most of all, for me it’s more important to spend a lot of hours on the bike. What do you think about your cooperation with Wicked Family? It’s been absolutely great. I really love the MX gear. They are by far the most comfortable dirt bike gear I have ever worn. Light, flexible and with no restrictions. It helps me to focus on my racing when I am on my dirt bike. I also think we have had a great cooperation this season and I really feel like I am a part of the Wicked Family 🙂 Here you can find the MX gear Eddie is wearing: https://www.wickedfamily.com/products/motocross/ More information about the swedish Nationals: http://www.mxsm.nu/
